You can never be too prepared

Time on the water is precious and it’s very important to do more than the minimum required hours to help prepare. On top of that you need to think of the additional courses that will help you get across the Atlantic Ocean.

Each team that goes to spend time with Jim McDonald from Mactra Marine has a trouble free crossing. Understanding how to use the watermaker properly is absolutely vital. The Seablings and Force Atlantic are just a couple of teams who have recently visited him.

Those who choose to take our Electrical Course with our resident Electrician Gary realise how easy it is to efficiently run the electrical systems on the boat, with a little explaining! This week alone we have welcomed Oarsome Foursome and All Oar Nothing who were keen to gain as much knowledge as possible before their crossings in December.

Being properly prepared ensures you can have a safe, fast and more enjoyable crossing. However, if anything were to go wrong don’t forget you can contact us here at Rannoch HQ 24/7!

We wish all the teams participating in this years’ race the best of luck.
