Rowing Dangerously goes from school library to the Solent

Our Rannoch Explorer champion, Jordan Wylie had a busy week with his new rowing boat as he visited the Royal Russell School in Surrey and talked to the students about his 2019 "Rowing Dangerously" adventure row across the world’s most dangerous strait of water – the Bab-el-Mandeb Straits in East Africa.

He then took to the open water for one of his first training sessions in his boat. When choosing where to train, Jordan purposely picked an area with plenty of container ships and other vessels around him, the Solent. A logical choice seeing as he’s going to have to learn to navigate a very busy shipping lane in a very small boat!

Keep up the great work, Jordan!
