Neil Lomas

Neil Lomas has Venture Scouting to thank for his love of the ‘Great Outdoors’. After receiving his Queens Scout and Gold Duke of Edinburgh awards, no piece of water or mountain held no bounds.

A water baby through and through having canoed and rafted the likes of Zambezi and Sun Kosi rivers, sailed on the tall ship ‘Winston Churchill’ and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.

Neil continued his love of the water having experienced dragon boat racing, and then became an international paddler, representing Great Britain in several World Championships.

With an attention turned to Ocean Rowing, Neil has already rowed across the Irish Sea, North Sea and completed a mid-Atlantic crossing and is firmly looking forward to the North Atlantic and beyond!

Neil simply enjoys encouraging others and inspiring them to be the best person they can be!
