Sergey Lazutin

A former software engineer who traded the tech industry for human-powered endurance. Now I occasionally work around the world as a trip prep specialist for a bicycle touring company, often finding myself in long-distance suffering and high-altitude environments, including the summits of Denali and Lenin Peak, thruhikes from Canada to Mexico, and multi-month bikepacking trips. Having tested my limits on foot and on two wheels, the ocean represents a completely new challenge. I am rowing the Atlantic to strip away the noise of modern life, and deepen my connection with the planet.

‍What are you most looking forward to about the expedition?

Making all my friends back home deeply jealous by returning with a posh, mid-winter resort tan.
